Outside of "this day in history"-type webpages (VERY bad source), I could only find one website that gives this info. Her maiden voyage was sometime in the teens of October, but I can't pin down the exact days to any reasonable degree of certainty. --mav 03:51, 15 Oct 2003 (UTC)

I removed "October 15th is the last day to file an Individual Income Tax Return with the Internal Revenue Service with a granted additional extension." as it doesn't belong in the intro, and I don't know what country it applies to. DJ Clayworth 18:56, 20 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

hunley

[edit]

I question the claim H. L. Hunley was "first successful submarine", when she sank on two trials and her only operational mission, as well as the fact she was preceded by David Bushnell's Turtle in 1776.

2011 Protests

[edit]

The claim of protests in 951 cities in 82 countries seemed a bit wild to me and, sure enough, when you follow the link, the article lists 120 cities in 48 countries. So I've modified the numbers to match the article; if anyone has a RS for the original number then that should go in 15 October 2011 global protests before it goes here. tree planting day

[edit]

The link for national tree planting day (sri lanka) links to the arbor day page. The arbor day for sri lanka listed on that page does not say october 15. 131.217.33.146 (talk) 05:18, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

National Latino AIDS Awareness Day

[edit]

this is not a government-supported day, but an advocacy day. Do we include them here?--134.153.5.38 (talk) 15:29, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is already included in the "Holidays and observances" section. —Bruce1eetalk 15:51, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
perhaps should be removed.--142.163.194.161 (talk) 19:54, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to see the following item added to the entry for October 15:

1970 - Two years into its construction, a span of the West Gate Bridge in Melbourne, Australia collapses killing 35 construction workers and injuring 18. It is Australia’s worst industrial accident.1.152.108.50 (talk) 08:11, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This incident is referred to in the Wikipedia article titled "West Gate Bridge". 1.152.108.50 (talk) 08:11, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. RudolfRed (talk) 18:46, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Eric Benét's year of birth?

[edit]

His name appears twice in the Births section, at 1967 and 1970. —71.105.243.101 (talk) 12:11, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This has already been fixed by @Suonii180. Kiwipete (talk) 04:38, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
