Hello, If you haven't yet done so, please read my main user page before posting here. Please note that if I comment on something, please respond to it there so there aren't cross links making everything more difficult and confusing than it has to be. Otherwise, feel free to comment, and, if you don't mind, give me an article or two to read up on if you think I am not adequately knowledgeable about a topic. Thanks. Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Googol30! Thank you for your contributions. I am GimliDotNet and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{helpme}}

Hi could you please be more specific on which bits are confusing/difficult to understand? Please feel free to discuss on the talk page there, preferably not here or mine, so we can keep it all in the one and right place. Thanks. =) F = q(E+v×B) ⇄ ∑ici 09:18, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is invited to contribute, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Saleen S281, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. The reverted edit can be found here. A520 | Talk me away!/sign it! 09:16, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
- Would you please look more closely at what you are reverting, as you have just reverted the 27 time copied and pasted vandalism back into the article and have wrongly warned a user about what they have done. In fact, it should not only be the original producer of the vandalism, but you as well who should be warned and "learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia". Googol30 (talk) 09:38, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Could you please wikify and correct my errors on Code_Aster ? Thanks.
[edit]Hi,
I just created the Code_Aster page, mostly a copy of the French version. It's an open-source simulation software (and not a small one, it' developed since 1989 by the national electricity company of France). I certainly made some mistakes and improper formating. So if you could have a look. Thanks.

[edit]Danese Cooper, WP:BLP, WP:CIRCULAR
[edit]The source you added] to Danese Cooper when you restored her date of birth to the article appears to be a mirror of the text from the the same Wikipedia article. As such, it was a WP:CIRCULAR reference and an exceptionally bad choice of a source to back up a WP:DOB, especially with an editor with as much experience as you and a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Citation_cleanup.
We could also do without the snarky attitude, kids. Toddst1 (talk) 16:00, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
- Wow. In my rush to find confirming information, I completely overlooked the rest of the content on that page. I have since found a non-circular reference that I hope is more satisfactory. Googol30 (talk) 21:44, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- I appreciate your best efforts here but a birth index falls under WP:PRIMARYCARE. Toddst1 (talk) 22:31, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
[edit]I see you recently accepted a pending change to February 25 that did not include a direct source.
You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the edit notice on that page, the content guideline and/or the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. All new additions without references are now being either reverted on-sight or in some cases where the patroller is especially motivated, immediately sourced. I've gone ahead and un-accepted this edit and backed it out.
All the pages in the Days of the Year project have had pending changes protection turned on to prevent vandalism and further addition of entries without direct sources. As a pending changes patroller, please do not accept additions to day of year pages where no direct source has been provided on that day of year page. The burden to provide sources for additions to these pages is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you and please keep up your good work! Toddst1 (talk) 17:31, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for informing me! I'll be more strict on source requirements from now on. Googol30 (talk) 17:44, 25 February 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for you recent edit. I rewrote this page a few weeks ago, and another editor RobLa took exception to my wording, making changes of his own (which I in turn object to). There’s been no consensus, just his view against mine. Your specific comment about ‘some people’ refers to one of his changes, but I don’t know whether your ‘several more places’ refer to my own contribution or to his edits. If you could be more specific, it would resolve the consensus one way or the other. Colin.champion (talk) 08:50, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
